FTS—Forest Technology Systems, Ltd.—is a leading manufacturer of remote environmental monitoring systems, instrumentation and communications technology. These monitoring systems are used in some of the harshest climates and conditions on earth and a refreshing of the brand was needed to help the growing company represent this rugged and reliable image.
A typographic approach was used to allow for easy adaptability and clean application across various products. The three angled shapes are representative of the three central concepts: simple, rugged and innovative as well as the three main markets they pursue (weather, hydrology and meteorology). This theme is further reinforced using secondary elements (using the 3 shapes from the logo, a 3 colour band and a set of images/textures with brand colours.)
Further to the logo development I have helped design and implement the brand across various product brochures, company newsletters, catalogs, banners and tradeshow displays.
