Ocean Interiors

Overview

Ocean Interiors is a small interior design and organizing business in Victoria BC. The client uses the beauty of nature as inspiration and focuses on incorporating natural textures and found natural objects in her designs. A typographic logo that included a wave or swirl shape was suggested to go with the name.

Approach

The flowing letterforms in the word “ocean” became the inspiration for the custom lettering on this logo design. After exploring a few sketches it was discovered that the all of the letters were circular and could flow together nicely in lower case forms. The curvy shapes of the letters were also applied to the shape of the business card design and added the finishing touch to the piece.
