Festival of Trees

Overview

Every year, the Festival of Trees transforms The Fairmont Empress into a lush forest of beautifully decorated trees to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital. A fun and playful design was needed to help refresh the existing logo and promotional materials raising awareness for the event.

Approach

There was a need to incorporate elements of the BC Children’s hospital logo into the design (the colours and the sun image) and this was used as a basis for the look and feel. The childlike drawing of the sun from the original logo was used as the basis for the design and helped tie in the rest of the elements. Bold colors and a unique handwritten style font added fun to the rest of the materials which included advertisements, a brochure and signs.
