DA Levinson and Associates

Overview

Logo for D. A. Levinson and Associates – an accounting and bookkeeping firm in Victoria BC.  The client wanted something clean, simple and modern looking for the type and overall look of the logo. As there was no specific imagery or graphic needed it was decided that a wordmark (a logo consisting of just type) would work best.

Approach

After working with some different layouts of the type the direction to go with an abbreviated version of the name (DAL) was made because the three letters naturally made interesting shapes to work with (circle, triangle, square). Once I found these shapes within the letters I modified a font to accentuate them more while adding the complete name below in a simple san-serif typeface. The client was happy with the result and the “DAL” shapes were used as an additional graphical element on the reverse side of the business cards and on the outdoor signage for the office.
